Reardon Dentistry is a small, private dental practice in Elmhurst looking for an exceptional front office leader.
We are not a corporate, high-volume, insurance-driven office. We are an out-of-network, relationship-based practice focused on excellent dentistry, clear communication, and a calm, organized patient experience. Our patients choose us because they want to be listened to, educated, and treated like people.
This role is best for someone who is polished, organized, emotionally mature, and comfortable taking ownership. We do not need a “warm body at the front desk.” We need a strong communicator and problem solver who can help the practice run smoothly.
This may be a great fit if you are a strong dental office manager or front office leader whose current office has changed after a corporate transition, ownership change, or shift toward a more production-driven model.
If you miss private practice dentistry, patient relationships, autonomy, and being part of a team where quality matters, this role may be worth a conversation.
Responsibilities
-Create an excellent first impression by phone, text, email, and in person
-Greet patients warmly for check-in and check-out
-Manage scheduling and appointment flow
-Answer phones, texts, and patient questions professionally
-Coordinate billing, insurance follow-up, patient balances, and claims
-Discuss treatment costs, balances, insurance estimates, and payment options clearly
-Help patients understand appointments, next steps, and expectations
-Support a smooth, organized day for the team
-Help improve front office systems and patient communication

-Comfortable discussing money, balances, insurance, and treatment costs
-Calm under pressure
-Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
-Able to take ownership without needing to be micromanaged
-Positive, mature, and drama-free
-Dental front office experience strongly preferred
-Open Dental experience is a plus
-Experience in a private, fee-for-service, cosmetic, restorative, or relationship-based office is a major plus

Schedule
-Monday: clinic closed, flexible admin hours
-Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with 1.5 hour lunch
-Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with 1.5 hour lunch
-Thursday: clinic closed, flexible admin hours
-Friday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
-Saturday/Sunday: off
You should plan for approximately 4 to 10 admin hours per week between Monday and Thursday depending on the needs of the practice.
This position may be full-time or part-time depending on candidate fit.
