Your primary job will be to welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough, dental cleanings, and help our dentists with examinations and procedures. Responsibilities
Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable and taken care of before, during, and after the examination
Prevent tooth decay by providing a thorough dental cleaning and applying protective sealants, such as fluoride
Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
Examine patients’ dental health and get an overview of their oral health history
Inform patients of all ages about how to care for their teeth by brushing and flossing on a regular basis
Keep detailed records of each patient’s visit and update their health history
Qualifications
Skills, experience and availability required:
Must be a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Texas
This is a full-time position - Required willingness to work differing shifts between 7am and 7pm, Monday thru Friday (some Saturdays required)
1+ years of experience in dental hygiene work
Basic data entry and computer skills
Ability to provide superb patient care and customer service
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
Responsibilities
Advise patients on how to properly care for their teeth after a procedure or operation
Sterilize all dental equipment to make sure everything is properly cleaned
Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients’ teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues
Examine patients’ dental health and get an overview of their oral health history
Aid dentists by deliberating the best way to treat a variety of dental disease
Qualifications
Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in the state
Capable of standing all day to assist patients
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
1+ years of experience in dental hygiene work
Current CPR certification
