Part-Time Dental Hygienist

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs and evaluating oral health status.
Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, emphasizing preventive practices tailored to pediatric and adult patients.
Maintain detailed dental records using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Support infection prevention management by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, and infection control standards.

Experience

Registered Dental Hygiene license (RDH)
OpenDental experience is a plus
Familiarity with EMR/EHR management systems like Eaglesoft
Demonstrated ability to perform dental x-rays, intraoral imaging, and utilize dental equipment efficiently.
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care, education, and building trust.
