Position Overview

Altius Dental is seeking a **Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)** to join our team in **Abilene, TX**. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a motivated, patient-focused hygienist who is passionate about preventive care and patient education.

The RDH will provide comprehensive preventive dental services while creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for patients. This role includes collaborating closely with providers to support treatment planning and deliver high-quality patient care.

Compensation & Bonus

* **Competitive Pay:** **$42.00 – $48.00 per hour** (based on experience and qualifications)
* **Sign-On Bonus:** **$500 bonus after successful completion of 60 days of employment**

Key Responsibilities

* Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planning
* Review patient medical and dental histories
* Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately
* Take and interpret dental radiographs
* Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
* Identify and manage signs of periodontal disease
* Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning
* Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
* Support an efficient, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment

Qualifications

* Active **Texas Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license** in good standing
* Current **CPR/BLS certification**
* Strong clinical knowledge in preventive dentistry and periodontal care
* Experience with routine cleanings, scaling, root planning, and oral health education
* Knowledge of infection control protocols, radiography, and dental charting software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment
* Experience working with underserved or rural communities is preferred, but not required
