We are a growing general dental practice seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented dental hygienist to join our team full-time. In this role, you will help support a relaxed, stress-free environment while contributing to a practice that emphasizes the connection between oral health and overall wellness. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, adults, special needs patients, and those requiring more advanced ongoing maintenance.
Daily responsibilities include performing prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal screening and treatment, gingivitis screening and treatment, oral cancer and oral pathology screening, and fluoride treatment. You will also provide oral hygiene instruction, patient education, treatment planning support, and patient recall management. Additional duties include dental charting, taking and reviewing digital X-rays, monitoring vital signs, chairside assistance as needed, and maintaining sterile procedures. Experience with air polishing, ultrasonic scaling, Cavitron, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide monitoring and administration, chlorhexidine, Arestin therapy, antibiotic therapy, desensitization, and soft tissue management is highly valued. Familiarity with Dentrix, DEXIS, intraoral cameras, NOMAD Pro, and four-handed dentistry is also beneficial.
This is a full-time position with one patient seen at a time. Appointments are typically scheduled for 30 minutes for pediatric patients and one hour for adults, allowing you the time needed to deliver thoughtful, thorough care. Lunch is one hour on 8–5 days, and as needed on 7–3 days.
Experience level may range from new to experienced. Compensation is experience dependent at $27–$32 per hour. Benefits include 401(k) matching, retirement planning, paid time off, a bonus plan, and employee discounts.
