Hygienist needed for Wednesdays

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate dental professional to join our client-centered, caring, family dental office as a part-time team member on Wednesdays. Our practice serves a mix of general, PPO, and private patients and is dedicated to delivering high-quality preventive care in a supportive, collaborative environment. We value professionalism, warmth, and a genuine commitment to helping patients feel comfortable and informed at every visit.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a dental setting and a strong foundation in preventive oral health care. You should be confident in performing routine hygiene procedures, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and educating patients on proper home care habits that support long-term oral health. A polished, organized, and friendly approach is essential, as is the ability to work effectively with both patients and the dental team.

Responsibilities include reviewing patient health histories, taking and developing diagnostic images as directed, performing periodontal assessments, scaling and polishing teeth, applying preventive treatments, and documenting findings accurately in patient records. You will also provide patient education on oral hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, while communicating treatment needs and recommendations in a clear, professional manner. Supporting a smooth, efficient workflow and contributing to a positive patient experience are key parts of this role.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced yet caring environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with patients of all ages are important. Familiarity with modern dental technology and a commitment to following infection control and safety protocols are also expected. An associate or bachelor’s-level education in dental hygiene, along with the required licensure and certifications, is preferred.
