Sasco Pediatric Dentistry is a privately owned pediatric dental practice in Fairfield looking for an experienced dental assistant to join our growing team.
We are adding an experienced assistant ahead of a team member’s upcoming maternity leave, with the goal of finding someone who can become a permanent part of our team as the practice continues to grow.

The Schedule:
Monday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
No Saturdays.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll work closely with the pediatric dentist and clinical team to keep patient care running efficiently and smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
• Chairside assisting during restorative and preventive procedures
• Four-handed dentistry
• Taking digital radiographs
• Preparing operatories and treatment setups
• Room turnover and infection-control procedures
• Instrument processing and sterilization
• Assisting with nitrous and sedation cases as needed
• Supporting pediatric behavior guidance and creating a positive patient experience
• Restocking and maintaining clinical supplies
• Assisting the hygienist when needed
• Helping maintain efficient clinical flow throughout the day
• Pitching in wherever needed as part of a small, collaborative team
Pediatric dental experience is a plus, but not required. An excellent general dental assistant with strong chairside skills and the right approach can be very successful here.

You May Be a Great Fit If You:
• Have 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred
• Hold current Connecticut radiology and infection-control qualifications
• Are confident with digital X-rays and chairside assisting
• Are dependable, punctual, and organized
• Stay calm and effective during busy clinical days
• Notice what needs to be done without always being asked
• Are flexible and willing to support both the doctor and hygiene team
• Communicate well with patients, parents, and coworkers
• Genuinely enjoy working with children
• Want to contribute to and grow with a small, collaborative practice
