Mississippi Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a full-time dental hygiene professional to join a family owned, fast paced, in-network dental practice that has served the Starkville area for nearly ten years. Our practice is general in scope and operates as a multi-doctor team, providing care across Medicaid, HMO, and PPO plans. We value efficiency, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach in a supportive clinical environment.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive preventive care and oral health education to patients of all ages. Responsibilities include performing dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing as indicated, taking and reviewing radiographs, documenting clinical findings accurately, and supporting the dentists with examinations and treatment coordination. You will also educate patients on proper home care, oral hygiene techniques, and the importance of preventive treatment. A strong focus on professionalism, communication, and clinical accuracy is essential.

The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable, and compassionate hygiene professional who enjoys working in a collaborative setting. Experience in a general dental practice is preferred, especially in a high-volume environment with multiple providers. Familiarity with a broad range of insurance plans, including Medicaid, HMO, and PPO, is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a busy office are important for success in this position.
