We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join a professional dental team on a full-time basis while a valued team member is on maternity leave. This temporary opening offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused environment that emphasizes quality care, efficiency, and strong clinical standards.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive preventive oral health services for pediatric patients in a private, single-doctor practice specializing in pedodontics. You will see one patient at a time, allowing you to deliver personalized care, build trust with young patients and their families, and maintain a calm, organized workflow throughout the day.
Core responsibilities include performing dental cleanings, taking and processing radiographs, conducting periodontal assessments, providing oral hygiene instructions, applying preventive treatments as directed, and documenting patient information accurately in the dental record. You will also assist in reinforcing treatment plans, support patient education, and help ensure that every visit is a positive experience for children and caregivers alike.
The ideal candidate will hold the appropriate dental hygiene education and licensure, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and bring a warm, patient-centered approach to care. Because this practice serves pediatric patients, comfort working with children is essential, along with excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to create a reassuring atmosphere. A professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a single-doctor office are highly valued.
This full-time position includes a 1-hour lunch break and convenient parking available on site. The office environment is designed to support both staff and patients with an organized schedule and a collaborative approach to care. Candidates should be dependable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
If you are looking for a rewarding opportunity to contribute your skills in a private pediatric dental setting during this maternity leave coverage period, this position offers a meaningful way to make an impact while working with a dedicated team.
