We are seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team! The Dental Receptionist is responsible for executing front-office operations such as answering phones, arranging appointments, registering patients, entering data into computers, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records systems in a manner that promotes quality patient service.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Dental Receptionist:
As needed, greet clinic patients and visitors, including checking in all patients by entering their information into the computer system. Ensure that all information, such as income, address, and insurance, is correct.
Each day, follow the same processes for opening and closing the clinic.
Collect patient fees and issue receipts to patients.
As needed, access and update patient information in the computer systems for Electronic Practice Management (EPM) and Electronic Dental Record (EDR).
Schedule patient appointments by HealthPoint procedures, ensuring effective provider time and appropriate patient care.
Maintain excellent communication with back-office employees and providers as needed to "fit in" additional patient visits on providers' calendars properly.
Cash balances daily bank deposits are prepared and made, and the office is closed at the end of the day.
Incoming fax messages are received and distributed.
Prepare outgoing mail.
Maintain the reception area as well as the waiting room.
Participate in agency committees and task force activities and attend staff meetings and in-service meetings.
