Dental Assistant or EDDA

Exceptional Smiles is an established family dental practice located in the northern Colorado Springs area. We are growing and seeking a Dental Assistant or EDDA to join us full time. We have a beautiful modern office and work with a close knit team. Our dentist has been seeing generations of families in Colorado Springs for over 40 years! We provide a variety of services including preventive care, restorative dentistry, cosmetic treatments, and other specialty services-you won't get bored!

Our ideal Dental Assistant or EDDA will be passionate about providing the highest level of care to our patients while supporting our dentist chairside. Rate: $23-$25/hr plus bonus opportunities

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities Include:
*Welcome patients into the dental office
*Prepare clients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
*Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
*Sterilize instruments according to regulations
*Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
*Undertake lab tasks as instructed
*Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
*Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
*Schedule appointments
*Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Requirements:
*1+ year(s) of proven experience as dental assistant
*X-Ray Certification is required
*CPR Certification required
*CDA preferred
*EDDA preferred
*Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
*High school diploma; graduating from a dental assistant school is preferred
*Additional certifications or training is a plus
