Position Overview
We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. This position is essential to maintaining a smooth front office flow and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for patients, helping them understand treatment recommendations, insurance benefits, and financial options while ensuring each patient feels informed, supported, and cared for throughout their experience with our practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience & Communication
Greet patients and provide a warm, professional experience from check-in to check-out
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries promptly
Communicate clearly and empathetically regarding treatment plans and next steps
Ensure patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
Treatment Coordination & Financials
Present treatment plans and review insurance benefits with patients
Explain financial policies, payment options, and assist with financing as needed
Collect payments and process transactions accurately
Coordinate follow-up and continuing care appointments
Administrative & Operational Support
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system
Assist with schedule management to support efficiency and patient flow
Support front desk and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year of dental front office or Patient Care Coordinator experience required
Experience with insurance verification and treatment coordination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude
