We are seeking a skilled and personable dental hygienist to join a well-established general and private dental practice that values quality, consistency, and patient-centered care. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a licensed professional who enjoys building trust with patients, working collaboratively with a supportive team, and taking the time needed to provide excellent preventive care.
In this role, you will see one patient at a time and typically spend 60 minutes per prophylaxis appointment, allowing you to be thorough with treatment, documentation, and patient education. The schedule includes a 1-hour lunch break, and on-site parking is available for convenience. We maintain a modern, efficient clinical environment and provide nitrile gloves and regular masks for PPE.
We are looking for someone with 1–2 years of experience who is confident, dependable, and committed to high standards of care. A personable attitude is essential, as this position involves developing strong relationships with patients while helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, calculus removal, and ultrasonic scaling
- Fluoride treatment, chlorhexidine application, gingivitis screening and treatment
- Local anesthesia administration when appropriate
- Dental charting and accurate patient records maintenance
- Patient education on oral hygiene, preventive care, bleaching, and Zoom whitening
- Managing patient recall and scheduling follow-up care
- Using intraoral camera, iTero, Dentrix, and Carestream systems
- Supporting pediatric hygiene needs as needed
- CPR certification and adherence to clinical safety protocols
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a calm, professional demeanor. Experience with cavitron use, dental charting, and comprehensive patient education is highly valued. You should be comfortable working in a practice that emphasizes thorough care rather than rushed appointments.
We offer competitive pay of $54.00–$60.00 per hour, depending on experience, along with PTO, medical insurance, and 401(k) for full-time team members. If you are looking for a practice where your expertise is respected and your work makes a meaningful difference, this could be an excellent fit.
