Insurance & Billing Coordinator
LOCATION
Cypress, TXSmile Avenue Family Dentistry in Cypress is hiring a full-time Insurance & Billing Coordinator at $19 to $25 an hour, based on experience. We're a multi-doctor general and family practice at 9212 Fry Rd, Suite 120, in the Miramesa plaza.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Weekends off.
What you'll do: verify insurance eligibility and benefits before every appointment, send claims with attachments and narratives, post insurance and patient payments and reconcile EOBs, work unpaid and denied claims until they're resolved, follow up on patient balances and explain them in plain language, set up payment plans, and keep insurance and fee information current in Open Dental.
What we're looking for:
- Dental insurance or billing experience
- Experience following up on claims and patient balances
- Comfortable posting payments and reading EOBs
- Comfortable verifying insurance before every appointment
- Experience with Open Dental is a plus, and we'll train you on it
