Sapphire Family Dentistry
We’re a private dental office in Katy, Texas. Looking for a full-time BILINGUAL (English & Spanish) front desk receptionist with a bubbly personality and a natural ability to make people smile and feel at home. We believe building a strong and caring relationship with our employees and patients will create a more enjoyable working environment.
Job Duties:
Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.
Communicating with medical insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payments.
Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
MUST HAVE (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
At our practice, we believe that attitude is everything. While some experience is a plus, we are happy to train the right person. Skills can be taught, but a GREAT PERSONALITY and a CAN-DO attitude are essential!

PUNCTUALITY - Proven ability to be on time
Exceptional professional demeanor in all interactions, both on the phone and in person.
Computer Savvy
Must be able to work 1 weekend of the month (Saturday)
EXPERIENCED IN DENTAL INSURANCE AND INSURANCE BILLING is plus but necessary.
Dental Receptionist Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is advantageous.
Proven experience working in a dental office.
Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
Proficient in dental practice management software (Open Dental).
Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
Good telephone etiquette.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
WORK HOURS
( MUST BE ABLE TO COME IN TO WORK 30 MINS BEFORE START TIME)
Monday 10 AM - 7 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday 8 AM - 5 PM
Thursday 9 AM - 5 PM
Friday 9 AM - 3:30 PM
Saturday 9 AM - 3 PM (1 Saturday a month, typically 1st Saturday of each month unless the 1st weekend falls on a holiday weekend.
IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES:
To set you up for success, your first 60–90 days will consist of comprehensive training at our Richmond, TX location. This period is essential for mastering our unified systems and workflows. Upon completion of training, your primary office will be in Katy, TX. As we operate as a cohesive team, we occasionally provide cross-office support; therefore, candidates should have the flexibility to work at either the Richmond or Katy location as business needs arise.
