Part Time Hygienist - Th/Fri

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate part time dental hygienist to join our established general dental practice. This opportunity is available as our current hygienist is retiring, creating an opening for a dedicated professional to become part of a respected team that has served the community for many years. Our practice is a family-focused environment where patients of all ages receive comprehensive care in a warm, relaxing setting.

The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of experience** and strong **general dental hygienist skills. We are looking for someone who is confident, personable, and committed to delivering high-quality preventive care with a patient-centered approach. This role is well-suited for a professional who values teamwork, consistency, and helping patients feel comfortable during every visit.

Schedule
- Thursday: 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
- Potential to add additional days in the future if interested

Key responsibilities include performing routine cleanings and periodontal procedures, supporting oral health education, and contributing to the overall health and comfort of our patients. Clinical duties will include prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, calculus removal, ultrasonic scaling, Cavitron use, air polishing, periodontal screening, gingivitis screening and treatment, oral cancer screening, oral pathology screening, pediatric hygiene, pit and fissure sealants, local anesthesia, Oraqix application, antibiotic therapy, bleaching, and chemotherapeutic agent/chlorhexidine use** as appropriate. Additional responsibilities include **oral hygiene instruction, patient education, patient recall, dental charting, patient records management, scheduling support, and sterile procedures.

Experience with modern technology and practice systems is important. Familiarity with SoftDent, Gendex, intraoral camera, iTero, digital X-rays, and CPR certification** is highly valued. The ability to work comfortably with **special needs patients and provide clear, compassionate communication is also essential.

This is a full-time position with an hourly compensation structure**. Competitive salary based on experience. Lunch break details will be discussed upon hire. Convenient **parking is available in the practice parking lot.
