We are a small yet efficient general dental office dedicated to treating our patients like family. As we anticipate the retirement of our beloved dental hygienist, we are excited to welcome a talented and compassionate part-time Dental Hygienist to our team.
About the Position:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide top-notch hygiene services within a supportive and friendly environment. We value patient relationships and strive to ensure each visit is comfortable and informative. You will be responsible for a range of duties including scaling and root planing, administering local anesthesia, performing oral cancer screenings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. Your skills in patient education and community outreach will help us promote a culture of preventative care and healthy habits.
Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, though we’re open to considering the right individual with a compelling background. Proficiency in a variety of hygiene services is crucial, including fluoride treatments, calculus removal, and the use of advanced techniques like Arestin therapy and bleaching procedures. Experience with digital and film radiographs, along with familiarity with dental software such as Dentech and Microsoft Office, will be advantageous.
Skills Required:
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and staff
- Ability to maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor during procedures
- Detail-oriented approach to dental charting and patient records
- Expertise in both adult and pediatric hygiene
