Full Time or Part Time Hygienist- 3 or more days a week

LOCATION
Kyle, TX

Our highly reviewed private dental practice (with over 400 5 star reviews) is looking for a dental hygienist to join us 3 or more days a week! We have a wonderful work environment that offers our team an amazing work life balance! Our hygienists enjoy autonomy and the time to truly get to know and care for their patients. Dr McIntyre believes strongly in quality over quantity- and views the role of hygienist as a medical professional not a “tooth cleaner”.
Also, we have great coworkers- our office culture of teamwork means that we all look out for each other.

Practice hours are:

Mondays 10AM to 5PM

Tuesday-Thursday 8AM to 5PM

2 Fridays a month 7:30AM to 2PM

Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination.
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history, Identify and treat conditions like gingivitis and periodontitis.
Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride).
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques).
Help patients understand value of taking care of not only oral hygiene, but any treatment recommended by DDS.

Requirements and skills

Diploma in Dental Hygiene.
Valid license to practice.
A patient and empathetic attitude.
A desire to establish relationships of trust with patients.
Proficiency with computers, especially Open Dental software, and strong typing skills.
