Our Dental practice is looking for a qualified registered dental assistant (RDA) who will make our office more efficient and pleasant for patients. We want you to be experienced in providing direct and indirect patient care while being able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. This person will assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations that range in complexity and skill with plenty of room to learn and grow. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills.
We primarily perform same day Cerec crowns and veneers, fillings and dental implants and require our dental assistants to be highly well-organized with great attention to detail.
You will also be utilizing some of the newest technology, like the Dentsply Cerec intraoral scanners, Planmeca 3D and panoramic imaging and If you want to advance your dental career and improve your craft, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities
• Most importantly, have fun while serving our community!
• Welcome patients to the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
• Assist dentist with common dental procedures such as (fillings, crown preparations, crown seats, extractions, dentures, and dental implants)
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and material needed
• Keep sterilization room clean and well-stocked
• Maintain autoclaves and units
• Maintain Cerec milling unit
• Must be able to take free-hand x-rays
• Take digital x-rays, CT scans and panoramic x-rays
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Assist other team members when needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Required Skills and Experience
• Proven experience as a dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills required
• Attention to detail is a must
• Well-organized and reliable
• Knowledge of the Dentrix and Digital X-ray software is a plus but not required
Education
• High school diploma
• Dental assistant school is preferred
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Additional certifications or training in assets like Nitrous Oxide
