We are seeking a highly organized and personable team member for a dual role combining front office coordination, insurance verification, and clinical assisting support. This position is primarily front desk focused, with the ability to assist clinically when needed. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both administrative coordination and hands-on dental care in a collaborative private practice environment.
Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (Every other Friday)
Half days Monday and Friday
No nights or weekends
Position Type: Part time or Full time
Core Responsibilities
Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional front office experience
Check patients in and out while maintaining an efficient daily schedule
Answer phones, confirm appointments, and manage scheduling changes professionally
Verify dental insurance benefits and enter accurate patient and insurance information
Prepare treatment estimates and review financial responsibilities with patients
Collect payments and assist with basic billing and account management
Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure the schedule runs efficiently
Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental
Provide chairside assisting support when needed
Assist with X-rays, sterilization impressions, temporaries, and other clinical tasks when necessary
Required Experience and Qualifications
Previous dental front desk or insurance verification experience preferred
X-ray certification required for clinical support
Experience with dental assisting duties
Strong understanding of dental insurance and patient financial communication
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment
Preferred Skills
Experience with Open Dental software
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification or experience preferred
Experience assisting with restorative and crown procedures
Cross-trained in both clinical and administrative roles
