General Dentist - Gonzales

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused general dentist to join a dynamic dental team in a busy, full-time role. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive oral healthcare in a modern environment that serves patients across a wide range of needs and ages. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative setting that supports general dentistry alongside pedodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and endodontics, while also contributing to the care provided in a multi-specialty practice.

The practice model includes both single-doctor and corporate-style support, allowing for strong clinical autonomy while benefiting from efficient systems, experienced staff, and a well-organized workflow. Our patient base includes individuals covered by Medicaid, HMO, PPO, and private insurance plans, so experience or comfort with diverse payer types is valued. A commitment to providing high-quality, ethical, and accessible care is essential.

Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive exams, diagnosing and treating dental conditions, developing treatment plans, restoring function and aesthetics, and educating patients on preventive oral health. The dentist will also be expected to manage a steady flow of routine and complex cases, coordinate care with specialists when needed, and maintain accurate and thorough documentation. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a compassionate chairside manner are important, as is the ability to build trust with patients and families.

Candidates should hold the appropriate dental education and licensure required to practice general dentistry. A college-level educational background with completion of dental school is expected, along with clinical competence in general procedures and a commitment to continuing education. Experience in a busy practice is helpful, though a motivated provider with a strong foundation and willingness to grow may also be a strong fit.
