We are looking for a dynamic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our well-established Sarasota dental office! Our high-end, fee for service private practice is seeking a well-qualified candidate with a great personality, who loves what they do and enjoys building relationships with their patients! Our ideal candidate loves to educate, encourages patients on the best ways to take care of their oral health, has an eye for detail and enjoys growth. An experienced hygienist is preferred and new graduates are welcome to apply.

You will play a crucial part in treatment plans for patients’ complete oral health, treat gum diseases, take necessary x-rays and evaluate patients’ health history. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies.

Responsibilities:

Ensure patients feel as comfortable during their appointment
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries and/or periodontitis
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
Give instructions to patients after treatment is performed
Take X-rays, Intra oral pictures and perio charting
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
Be efficient with your time
Re-care follow up
Be a team player

Skills:
Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
Have patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job

Qualifications:
Diploma in Dental Hygiene
An active state hygiene license
A current CPR certification
Ability to administer local anesthesia and Nitrous
License/Certification

Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required)
Work Location: In person

Job Type: Part-time- 1-2 days a week

Pay: From $46.00 per hour
