Key Responsibilities:
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our patients' oral health by performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Conducting thorough oral health assessments and screenings for oral cancer, gingivitis, and other periodontal issues.
- Performing prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to remove calculus and plaque buildup.
- Administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, ensuring patient comfort throughout the procedures.
- Offering patient education and personalized oral hygiene instruction to promote long-term health.
- Utilizing cutting-edge technology, including digital X-rays and intraoral cameras, for accurate assessments and treatment planning.
- Collaborating with the dental team in chairside assistance and four-handed dentistry to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in various dental procedures and technologies such as Arestin therapy, fluoride treatments, and periodontal treatments.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is a plus, as we seek to serve a diverse patient community.
- Strong communication skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate care for patients of all ages, including pediatric hygiene.
Work Environment:
Our practice is located in the vibrant South Tampa area, boasting great accessibility including dedicated parking for our staff. We offer a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $38-$40, along with a one-hour lunch break to ensure you have the necessary time to recharge during your busy day.
