Small Private Practice, Big Impact on Young Smiles

We are hiring a dental hygienist for a full-time or part-time position, with flexible hour options for the right person. Our hygienists run their own column with no side books, see one patient at a time, and have 30 minutes per patient (40 when needed), all on a four-day week with no weekends.

We are a single-doctor, privately owned practice, not part of a DSO or corporate group, and we focus exclusively on pediatric patients, from toddlers through teens, including children with special needs. Our office is fully digital, prevention-focused, and designed to support high-quality care without the stress of rushed scheduling. Appointment lengths are structured to reflect the realities of pediatric care, and our assistants help with tray setup and room turnover so the day moves efficiently.

Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome, and pediatric training and mentorship are provided. An interest in teaching children excellent home care and building positive habits is the most important foundation.

We are looking for a warm, upbeat licensed hygienist with strong behavior guidance skills, including tell-show-do, positive reinforcement, and the ability to keep anxious children calm and comfortable. Experience with digital radiography is helpful. Just as important is a friendly, team-oriented attitude and the flexibility to stay calm and effective when an appointment does not go exactly as planned. An active Maryland RDH license and current CPR/BLS certification are required.

Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional Friday mornings and no weekends. A 60-minute lunch break is provided, and on-site parking is available. We accept PPO insurance, and our team takes pride in helping children build lifelong oral health habits.

This is a W-2 position. Compensation is $55 to $65+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
