Expanded functions dental assistant needed
LOCATION
Germantown, MDWe are seeking a full-time dental assistant to join our established general dentistry practice. Our office has served the community for ten years and is built on quality care, clear communication, and strong relationships with both patients and team members. We maintain a traditional patient experience in a supportive, single-doctor environment that works with PPO and private patients.
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience and strong skills in dental assisting and expanded functions. Responsibilities include chair-side assistance, four-handed dentistry, patient charting, sterilization, infection control, impressions, alginate impressions, packing cord, suture removal, and support with crowns, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, and Zoom whitening. Experience with Dentrix, Easy Dental, intraoral cameras, iTero, NOMAD Pro, digital X-rays, and treatment planning is preferred. Additional duties may include appointment scheduling, inventory, pouring and trimming models, and assisting with general clinical workflow.
Candidates must be licensed to be a dental assistant in the state of Maryland. We offer a 1-hour lunch break, parking in the building lot, and PPE including disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks. Benefits include 401k, PTO, and dental care. Compensation is $28 to $30 per hour.
