Dental Hygienist PartTime

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our periodontal dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for periodontal patients.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the office.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including treatment plans and medical history review.
Utilize Eagle software for patient management and record keeping.
Apply aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Review medical coding and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Monitor vital signs as necessary during patient visits to ensure overall health and safety.
Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, with experience in a dental office preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Experience with documentation review processes is beneficial.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
