Join Our Team as a Dental Hygienist!
We are a dynamic and patient-focused private dental practice seeking a dedicated FULL-TIME Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting good oral health practices and ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care. We are looking for someone who is responsible, trustworthy, passionate, driven, and meticulously detail-oriented. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for building rapport with patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure patients feel comfortable and cared for before and during their examinations.
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history.
- Identify conditions such as gingivitis and periodontitis and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Perform teeth cleaning procedures, including plaque removal and fluoride applications.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and aftercare following dental procedures.
- Assist in taking dental X-rays and making impressions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to recommend treatments tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and manage patient records.
- Monitor and manage dental supply inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist with a minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in the dental field, including HIPAA compliance.
- Certification in CPR and Laser Certification are required.
- Proficiency in dental charting, scaling and root planing, and administration of oral cancer screenings.
- Familiarity with tools such as NOMAD Pro, Carestream, and VELscope is a plus.
- Stellar attention to detail and the stamina to meet the physical demands of the role.
