Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety in our dental clinic. You will play a vital role in educating patients about oral health, performing dental cleanings, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Take and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the administration of local anesthesia and other necessary procedures as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Skills

Proficient in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software for patient management.
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and oral health.
Experience working in a dental office or clinic environment is preferred.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for all patients.
Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Ability to assist effectively during various dental procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients.
Compassionate approach towards pediatrics, ensuring comfort and understanding for younger patients.
