Job Overview
Seeking highly motivated registered dental hygienist for a combined dental practice of endodontics, prosthodontics and periodontics in Georgetown, Texas. The owners of the modern upscale practice are a husband and wife team of retired armed forces veterans with over 70 years of combined experience. The practice strives to provide the most up-to-date dental treatment methods utilizing advanced technology in a relaxed, caring and friendly environment.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
We emphasize thorough- you will never be asked to perform more than one cleaning an hour and will be allotted at least 1 1/2 hours for SRP patients (2 quadrants).
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies to promote lifelong dental health.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems- Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assistance and managing patient anxiety effectively.
Skills
Proficiency in imaging techniques- BWX, panoramic and CBCT images.
Proficiency in dental software systems- Eaglesoft for documentation review and appointment scheduling.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
