We are seeking a skilled and professional dental hygienist to join our team for a temporary full-time maternity leave coverage opportunity during December 2026 and January 2027, with the possibility to remain on permanently. This role is available due to the current hygienist being on maternity leave and offers the chance to work in a well-organized, supportive environment where teamwork and patient care come first.
Our practice is a general, single-doctor, private family office that has been proudly serving patients since 2009. We care for patients of all ages and are known for having a friendly, efficient, and highly organized team. We value a positive workplace culture and look for someone who enjoys contributing to a collaborative setting. A dedicated hygiene assistant is available to support your day-to-day workflow.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and be confident in identifying periodontal disease. Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide quality patient care are essential. This position requires excellent communication and a patient-centered approach, along with the ability to work independently while maintaining smooth coordination with the rest of the team.
Clinical responsibilities include dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, oral hygiene instruction, patient education, and treatment support for a variety of ages, including pediatric patients. Experience with scaling and root planing, ultrasonic scaling, calculus removal, gingivitis treatment, Arestin therapy, nitrous oxide monitoring, and vital signs monitoring is preferred. You should also be comfortable performing digital X-rays, using DEXIS, intraoral cameras, iTero, NOMAD Pro, Cavitron, and providing accurate charting in Dentrix. CPR certification is required.
This role follows a steady schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:45 am to 4:00 pm, and Friday from 6:45 am to 3:00 pm. Lunch is 1 hour, with an adjusted schedule on Fridays. You will see one patient at a time, with appointments typically scheduled for 1.5 to 2 hours for new patients and 1 hour for recall patients.
We provide a full range of PPE, including disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks. Parking is available at the office parking lot.
Compensation is based on skill level.
