Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Join our thriving orthodontic practice as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a supportive team environment. We are looking for a dedicated professional with at least one year of experience to help us continue to grow.

As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with patient procedures, maintaining a clean and organized treatment area, and providing excellent customer service to our patients. You will also be utilizing our comprehensive personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and that of our patients, including disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, latex and nitrile gloves, N95 masks, regular masks, and air purifiers.

Duties:
-Preparing a patient for the placement of orthodontic braces or orthodontic appliances
-Removing and placement of orthodontic wires
-Taking impressions or 3D model scans (Itero) on patients for orthodontic appliances
-Taking orthodontic x-rays on patients prior to orthodontic treatment and during orthodontic treatment
-Maintaining accurate patient records
-Communicating with parents and patients regarding instruction and care of orthodontic appliances and braces
-Restocking supplies at orthodontic chairside units
-Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments utilizing heat and steam sterilizers, and maintaining operatory cleanliness

We offer a full-time schedule (32-33 hours) with a one-hour lunch break, along with competitive pay at $25/hour. Our benefits package includes paid time off (PTO), sick time, paid holidays, and a 401K plan to support your financial future.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an orthodontic dental assistant. We have a great and caring staff and are looking to add to it to assist in our growing practice!

Dr. Cook has been doing this for 30+ years and has consistently been a top Orthodontist in the area. We get a lot of word of mouth referrals from patients/their parents telling their friends and family members!

Our office hours are Monday 8am-5:30pm, Tuesday 10am-7:30 pm, Wednesday 8am-5:30pm, & Thursday 8am-5:30pm - NO FRIDAYS OR WEEKENDS!!!
