Join Our Team as a Part-Time Dental Hygienist!

We are a well-established general dental practice with over 65 years of experience, looking for a part time dental hygienist to join our dedicated team. Our practice features four private operatories and houses two skilled general dentists alongside a periodontist, ensuring a collaborative environment focused on comprehensive patient care.

Our busy practice, with over 2000 active patients, is committed to providing high-quality dental services in a warm and welcoming environment. As a dental hygienist, you will play a critical role in our patients' oral health journeys. This position is ideal for new graduates or those looking to refresh their career in a supportive and professional setting.

Position Details:
- Schedule: Tuesdays-Fridays, 8:45 AM to 5 PM, days are flexible.
- Patient Interaction: One patient at a time for one hour each, ensuring thorough and personalized care
- Breaks: One-hour lunch break
- Insurance Accepted: Fee-for-service (FFS) and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive dental charting and oral health assessments
- Perform preventative care, including prophylaxis, periodontal screening, scaling, and root planing
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology, including iTero and intraoral cameras
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist in scheduling patient recalls

Qualifications:
- CPR certification is required
- Proficiency in Practice Works and Carestream is preferred
- Skills in calculus removal, gingivitis and periodontitis screening are essential
- A positive attitude, kindness towards patients, and exceptional organizational skills are a must
