Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) – Cumming, GA

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) who thrives in a surgical environment and enjoys being an essential part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
● Assist the doctor during oral surgery and specialty procedures, including extractions, implants, and bone grafts.
● Support treatment planning for larger, complex cases and maintain accurate documentation in Dentrix.
● Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, operatory setups, and ensure strict infection control standards are met.
● Capture high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral scans.
● Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
● Maintain organized inventory levels and ensure materials are fully stocked.
● Communicate effectively with the front office and clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow.
● Deliver an exceptional, compassionate patient experience from start to finish.

Qualifications
● Current EDDA certification (state-specific)
● CPR/BLS certification
● 3–5 years of experience in a surgical or specialty dental setting (strongly preferred)
● Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
● Proficiency in Dentrix (or similar software)
● Excellent communication and multitasking skills
● Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Compensation
● $25–$27/hour (based on experience) + Monthly Bonus

Schedule
● Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm
● Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm
