Registered Dental Hygienist – Dental Practice

Pay: $60.00-65.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Location: Long Beach, CA
Job Type: Part-Time | In-Person (2 days per week)

Our patient-centered private dental practice in Long Beach is seeking a caring, skilled, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our friendly and supportive team two days per week.
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, ethical dentistry in a warm and welcoming environment. Our office uses modern technology and efficient systems, allowing our hygienists to focus on excellent patient care and meaningful patient relationships.

What You’ll Do:
• Provide comprehensive preventive dental care in a gentle, patient-centered manner
• Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance
• Take digital X-rays and intraoral images as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care
• Accurately chart clinical findings and update medical histories
• Identify periodontal conditions and communicate findings to the doctor
• Apply local antimicrobial therapy (Arestin) when indicated
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant operatory
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
• Build trust and long-term relationships with patients

What We’re Looking For:
• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in California
• Laser certification (required)
• Experience applying Arestin
• Strong clinical skills with a gentle, patient-focused approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality care
• Comfortable using digital charting and dental software
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

Nice to Have:
• Experience with digital X-rays and intraoral cameras
• Bilingual on spanish
• Experience in a private dental practice setting
