We are seeking a Certified Dental Hygienist to join our established general dentistry practice in Fairfield, CT, serving the community since 2004. This full-time opportunity is available due to the retirement of a valued hygienist who spent 25 years building strong, lasting relationships with our patients. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about patient care and excited to help continue that tradition while building meaningful connections of their own.
Our practice is a large, modern office with 9 operatories, including 5 dedicated hygiene rooms, and a strong, loyal patient base. We provide comprehensive dentistry and are committed to staying current with the latest literature and technology to ensure our patients receive the best possible care. Our hygiene team works with advanced tools and systems, including Airflow Technology and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), and we value clinicians who are eager to grow professionally in a supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 0–1 years of experience and be comfortable providing high-quality preventive and periodontal care one patient at a time, with approximately 1 hour scheduled per patient. Responsibilities include dental charting, periodontal screening, prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, oral cancer screening, patient education, patient recall, local anesthesia, pediatric hygiene, and use of digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems. Experience with tools such as Cavitron, ultrasonic scaling, DEXIS, iTero, Schick, VELscope, and intraoral cameras is preferred, along with familiarity with sterile procedures and treatment planning. We use Oryx practice management software and will provide training on how to use the software.
Additional experience with air polishing, gingivitis treatment, desensitization, Oraqix, pit and fissure sealants, and supporting patients with implants, Invisalign, fixed prosthodontics, and veneers is a plus. CPR certification is required.
We provide a professional and well-equipped work environment, including disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, regular masks, and a scrub allowance. Parking is available via street parking or in our private lot, and a 1-hour lunch break is provided.
Benefits include PTO, 401k opportunities, potential full-time hours with 401K options, and reimbursement for continuing education. Compensation is a competitive salary based on experience.
