A growing, patient-focused dental practice is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented dental hygienist to support a busy general care environment. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys building lasting patient relationships, delivering high-quality preventive care, and contributing to a collaborative team dedicated to excellence. The position is currently available because the practice is opening a new location.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ year of experience and a strong foundation in clinical hygiene procedures, patient communication, and modern dental technology. The role requires comfort working with patients of all ages, including pediatric and special needs patients, while maintaining a calm, organized, and professional approach. A college-level education is expected, along with current CPR certification.
Responsibilities include performing dental charting, periodontal screening, prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, calculus removal, ultrasonic scaling, fluoride treatment, bleaching support, oral hygiene instruction, patient education, oral cancer screening, oral pathology screening, and patient recall. Additional experience with local anesthesia, Cavitron, Cetacaine, Chlorhexidine, Oraqix, digital X-rays, iTero, Schick, and intraoral camera systems is highly valued. The hygienist will also contribute to patient comfort, treatment coordination, and overall continuity of care within both general and orthodontic workflows.
The practice is committed to maintaining a safe and professional clinical environment, with PPE provided including disposable gowns, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks. Team members are expected to uphold strong infection control standards while delivering personalized, compassionate care.
This is a part-time position to start, requiring 2 days per week, with the potential to grow as the new location expands. The compensation is $435 per day, with a 1-hour lunch break built into the schedule. Candidates who are enthusiastic about preventive dentistry, patient education, and working in a modern, welcoming setting are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
