Role Description:
Perform thorough prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance appointments
Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and periodontal assessments
Provide fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive therapies
Take and interpret dental x-rays and CBCT scans when indicated
Monitor and document changes in patients' oral health status
Diagnose and treatment plan periodontal disease
Perform scaling and root planning (SRP) procedures
Provide periodontal maintenance care for patients with history of disease
Educate patients on home care techniques specific to their periodontal needs
Collaborate with Dr. Anya on comprehensive periodontal treatment plans
Qualifications:
Current Georgia Dental Hygiene License (in good standing)
Current CPR/BLS Certification
Radiology certification (as required by Georgia Board of Dentistry)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree from accredited dental hygiene program
Minimum 2-3 years clinical experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical skills will be considered)
Proficiency with digital x-rays and dental software
Strong knowledge of periodontal disease and treatment protocols
Experience in cosmetic or specialty dental practices
Familiarity with implant maintenance protocols
Proficiency with digital photography and documentation
Experience with Open Dental or similar practice management software
Additional certifications (local anesthesia, nitrous oxide monitoring)
Continuing education in periodontics, implantology, or cosmetic dentistry
