POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist and dental hygienists with various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient and smooth operations of the practice. No prior experience is required; we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the dentist and dental hygienists during dental procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures by setting up instruments, equipment, and materials.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following OSHA guidelines.
Take digital dental radiographs (x-rays) as instructed by the dentist.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for procedures.
Provide patient care and comfort during dental procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
Perform basic laboratory tasks.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records as needed.
Provide back-up basic administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Dental Assistant License
Experience using a Dental EHR software and Digital X-Rays
Willingness to learn and undergo on-the-job training.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Basic computer skills.
