We are a sophisticated, well-established specialty dental practice located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, seeking an experienced, motivated, and personable Dental Surgical Assistant to join our growing team.

Our practice is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care, utilizing advanced technology and modern surgical techniques in periodontics, dental implantology, and oral surgery. Key Responsibilities

* Assist the periodontist during periodontal, dental implant, bone grafting, and other oral surgical procedures.
* Prepare surgical suites, organize instruments, and anticipate the clinician’s needs throughout procedures.
* Perform CBCT (3D CT) scans and obtain high-quality digital radiographs.
* Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and digital imaging.
* Follow proper sterilization, infection control, and surgical aseptic protocols.
* Ensure treatment rooms and surgical operatories are properly prepared, stocked, and maintained.
* Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients before, during, and after procedures.
* Provide patients with a comfortable, reassuring experience while maintaining the highest standards of care.
* Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

* Previous dental surgical assisting experience is strongly preferred.
* Experience taking CBCT scans and dental radiographs is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Familiarity with Dentrix dental software is preferred.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and professional.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy specialty practice.
* A friendly, enthusiastic personality with a strong commitment to teamwork and patient satisfaction.
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
