Oral Surgical Assistant
Valley Oral Surgery is seeking an Oral Surgical Assistant to support our surgeons and clinical team in providing exceptional patient care in our four office locations. This role assists with surgical procedures, patient preparation, clinical documentation, sterilization, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms, surgical trays, and equipment for procedures
Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures, including instrument passing and suctioning
Welcome, prepare, and support patients before, during, and after procedures
Review patient health history and medications
Perform dental and diagnostic imaging as required
Document patient care accurately within the electronic health record (EHR)
Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patient understanding
Follow infection control, safety, and compliance standards
Maintain and operate clinical equipment while reporting concerns appropriately

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Dental assisting experience required
Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to changing priorities

Physical Requirements:
This position requires extended periods of standing and walking, with frequent use of fine motor skills and the ability to lift and move supplies/equipment as needed.
