📍 Location: Downtown Durham, NC
Local Start Dental is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit clinic dedicated to expanding access to comprehensive oral health care for underserved communities. Our state-of-the-art, 10-operatory facility is also a training center where dentists gain hands-on experience in implant and grafting techniques through live-patient CE courses.
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Director to join our mission-driven team. This role is ideal for an experienced dentist who is confident practicing independently in a high-volume, positive, and patient-focused environment.

Position Highlights
* Schedule: 4 days per week with the ability to create your own schedule (Monday–Friday staggered hours, 2 later days; earlier day on Friday)
* Team Support: 3 dental assistants, part-time general dentist, 1 RDH (2 days/week, adding a second)
* Patient Flow: 3-column schedule, averaging ~15 patients/day
* Scope of Care: Comprehensive general dentistry, new patient exams, implants, dentures, crowns, fillings, simple extractions (more complex surgical cases handled by another provider)

Qualifications
* DMD/DDS from an accredited U.S. dental school
* Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (5+ strongly preferred)
* Confident working independently without mentorship
* Comfortable managing a variety of patients, including those with complex dental and social needs
* Mission-driven and culturally sensitive; bilingual abilities are a strong plus
* DSO experience is highly desirable

Compensation & Benefits
* Competitive Pay: $850/day guaranteed + 32% of collections (after 3–6 months)
* Retirement: 4013B with 3% match after 1 year/1,000 hours
* Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision through Blue Cross NC (30-day waiting period)
* Time Off: 13 days PTO in first year (accruing over time) + 10 paid holidays (closed the week of Christmas)
* Continuing Education: On-site CE with live patients (implant/grafting courses, 6–8 annually)
