A busy, second-generation family general dentistry practice in Philadelphia is seeking an organized, friendly, and reliable Front Office Dental Coordinator to join our team as an Independent Contractor (1099). This is a vital, patient-facing role, and we are looking for someone who can step in immediately with confidence.
This contracted position is part-time, requiring approximately 20–24 hours per week across 3 set days.
Your Role & Responsibilities
• Front Desk Management: Warmly greet and check-in/check-out patients, managing the schedule and patient flow to ensure a smooth, productive day for the entire team.
• Scheduling & Calls: Expertly answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage practice communications (email, filing, etc.).
• Financial Duties: Verify patient insurance eligibility, process co-payments, and manage daily financial transactions.
• Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient records, adhering to all privacy standards, and handle general office tasks.
What We're Looking For
• Experience Preferred: Prior experience working as a Dental Receptionist is highly preferred, allowing you to hit the ground running.
• Practice Software: Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a strong asset.
• Contractor Status: Must be legally eligible to work as an Independent Contractor (1099) and understand the associated tax and liability responsibilities.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management skills, ready to support a family environment.
• Commitment: Must be reliable, punctual, and able to consistently adhere to the set 3-day weekly schedule.
Compensation & Culture
