Part-Time Hygienist
LOCATION
Palatine, ILWe are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented dental hygienist to join our growing, fully digital cosmetic dental office. This is a part-time opportunity in a general, single-doctor practice that values professionalism, teamwork, and a calm, supportive atmosphere. Our environment is low stress, and we take pride in employing kind people who care about treating nice patients with respect and excellence.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive preventive and therapeutic hygiene care while working with one patient at a time. Appointments are scheduled for one hour per patient, allowing you the time needed to deliver quality care, build rapport, and maintain a smooth workflow. Responsibilities will include prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal screening, periodontal treatment, fluoride treatment, and home care instructions. Assistance with perio charting can be provided as we use Dentrix dental software.
We welcome new graduates and value a strong foundation in clinical hygiene skills, communication, and patient education. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a modern digital setting, enjoys contributing to a positive team culture, and is committed to providing exceptional care in a patient-focused office. Because we are a growing practice, this position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a team that is expanding and evolving.
Our office is designed to support both staff and patients. Parking is available directly in front of the office for convenience. Team members are provided with appropriate PPE, including disposable gowns, face shields, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks, to help maintain a safe and professional work environment.
This part-time position includes a one-hour lunch break and offers a competitive hourly rate of $55–$65/hr, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include vacation pay, a uniform allowance, and a continuing education allowance to support your professional growth.
