RDH needed in Southbury, CT

We are a growing family dental practice specializing in prosthodontics and committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Our team takes pride in helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health through personalized treatment, education, and preventive services in a welcoming, compassionate environment. We are seeking an experienced dental hygiene professional to join our practice on a part-time schedule, one day per week on Fridays.

This role supports a general and prosthodontic practice serving PPO and private patients in a single-doctor setting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, values precision, and brings a strong commitment to high-quality care. You will see one patient at a time, typically allowing 1 hour for periodic recall appointments and 1.5 hours for new patients, providing the time needed for thorough, thoughtful hygiene care.

Responsibilities include performing prophylaxis, periodontal screening and treatment, calculus removal, ultrasonic scaling, cavitron use, fluoride treatment, gingivitis treatment, pit and fissure sealants, Arestin therapy, bleaching, Zoom whitening, oral hygiene instruction, patient education, patient recall, dental charting, and supporting treatment with local anesthesia and Oraqix when appropriate. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, along with a patient-focused approach that helps build trust and long-term relationships.

Candidates must be CPR certified and have a minimum of 5 years of experience. A college-level education is expected. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, confident in hygiene care, and able to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages.

We provide a professional and well-equipped environment with disposable gowns, goggles, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks available for clinical use. Parking is available anywhere in the office park for added convenience. A lunch break of 30 minutes or 1 hour may be taken based on your preference.
