Dentist (DDS/DMD) – NY Smiles Dental
Role Summary
NY Smiles Dental is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Dentist (DDS or DMD) to join our growing team of dental professionals. This role is ideal for a motivated clinician who values quality care, collaborative treatment planning, and long-term patient relationships. You will provide a broad range of dental services in a modern, well-supported environment with a strong patient base and a highly trained support staff.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Patient Management
Perform comprehensive exams, diagnoses, and treatment planning for new and existing patients

Deliver a wide scope of general dental services, including restorative, preventative, cosmetic, and prosthodontic procedures

Conduct extractions, endodontics (if applicable), and surgical procedures when within comfort and scope

Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options

Ensure all treatment documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with legal and clinical standards

Monitor patient outcomes and coordinate follow-up care with hygienists and specialists

Collaboration & Leadership
Work alongside dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure an excellent patient experience

Participate in morning huddles, case presentations, and quality assurance reviews

Mentor junior clinicians or externs (if applicable) and promote continuous learning within the clinical team

Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC protocols for infection control and patient safety

Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited U.S. dental school

Active New York State dental license in good standing

Malpractice insurance (or ability to obtain upon offer)

Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong externship backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Proficient in common dental procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, and preventive care

Experience with digital X-rays, intraoral scanners, and charting software (e.g., Dentrix or OpenDental)

Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient relationship skills

Spanish or other second-language fluency is a plus
