Duties and Responsibilities
Attend comprehensive exams and assist in presenting treatment plans alongside the dentist, using patient-friendly language to ensure clarity and understanding.
Display proficiency in presenting financial options to patients, including upfront payments, interest-free and extended financing options, encouraging informed and feasible decisions.
Effectively communicate the value and urgency of recommended treatments, employing a no-pressure approach to enhance patient comfort and acceptance.
Consistently follow up on unscheduled treatments and incomplete cases, ensuring no patient's treatment needs are overlooked.
Meticulously manage and track all pending treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and follow-through.
Verify dental insurance benefits ahead of discussions about finances to provide patients with precise estimates and help them understand their benefits.
Coordinate closely with the scheduling team to secure treatment appointments promptly, aiming for convenience and efficacy.
Maintain and analyze personal case acceptance metrics, using these figures to guide performance improvements and meet scheduled production goals.
Keep detailed and accurate records in the practice management software, adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient data confidentiality and security.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience in dental front office activities or treatment coordination is essential.
Demonstrable skills in presenting treatment plans and financial options confidently and effectively.
Adequate knowledge of dental insurance, including PPO plans and familiarity with third-party financing options such as CareCredit or Sunbit.
Proficiency in using dental practice management software systems, such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, is required.
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills are critical for success in this role.
A patient-first approach and the capacity to professionally handle and overcome objections is a must.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple treatment plans and cases efficiently.
Accountability in meeting case acceptance and scheduled production targets, with a track record of measurable success in previous roles.
