EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant)

Southland Smiles is hiring a dependable, professional EDDA to join our busy family dental practice. We serve patients of all ages and prioritize a welcoming, relaxed experience for families.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare operatories and assist dentists during procedures (restorative, crown/bridge, extractions)
Take and process digital radiographs and intraoral scans
Fabricate temporaries, take impressions/scans, place fillings and perform basic lab tasks within EDDA scope
Sterilize instruments, maintain operatory supplies, and follow infection-control protocols
Communicate with patients, provide postop instructions, and support front-office coordination as needed
Qualifications:

Valid EDDA certification and radiography license
2+ years EDDA experience preferred (general and private practice experience a plus)
Current CPR certification
Strong chairside skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Honest, professional, and team-oriented with excellent patient communication skills
Experience with Eaglesoft preferred
