We are seeking an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join a growing, patient-focused dental team in a general practice that accepts PPO and private insurance. Under new ownership since May 2026, the practice is evolving from a long-standing “bread-and-butter” office into a more advanced clinical setting, with expanded services including more complex procedures and sedation. This is an exciting opportunity for a hygienist who wants to contribute to a well-respected practice with strong community roots and significant room for growth.
The ideal candidate is a college-educated professional with at least 2 years of hygiene experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality care efficiently while maintaining an excellent patient experience. The practice is known for its kind, loyal patients, a supportive team environment, and an office manager with more than 15 years of experience who helps keep operations running smoothly. We are also updating the office with new paint, flooring, and improved dental technology.
Responsibilities include performing dental hygiene procedures such as cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and periodontal scaling and root planing; educating patients on oral hygiene and home care; conducting oral health assessments and screenings; assisting the dentist as needed; and maintaining accurate records. The hygienist sees one patient at a time and typically spends 1 hour per routine cleaning appointment, allowing time for quality, individualized care.
We are looking for someone comfortable working with Dentrix, Microsoft Office, intraoral camera systems, iTero, and digital X-rays. Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and limited knowledge of dental codes are important. A valid California RDH license and CPR certification are required.
This flexible part-time role is available 2–4 days per week. A full workday includes a 1-hour lunch break from 1–2, or could just be a 6 hour day. Parking is available in the office lot. PPE provided includes disposable gowns and latex gloves.
Compensation is $55–$65 per hour, DOE. If you are seeking a professional, supportive environment where your skills will be valued, we would love to hear from you!
