Provide exceptional customer service by making the patient the # 1 priority
Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
Follow safety policies and procedures through OSHA compliance and federal regulations
Responsibilities, Clinical
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to protocol
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as needed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Maintain accurate patient records
Accurately record and document diagnosed treatment plans
Draft dentist notes
Advise the front desk staff on patient scheduling to optimize clinical time
Manage clinical workflow so staff remains on schedule
Ensure dental equipment remains serviceable and in good working order
Skills
Problem solver –be willing to roll with changes to the day in a competent and pleasant manner.
Proven experience as a dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, primary computer systems (EagleSoft)
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
