AK Dentistry is a patient-focused dental office committed to providing exceptional oral healthcare in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist who is passionate about providing excellent patient care, educating patients about their oral health, and helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles.

Our practice utilizes modern technology, including laser therapy and the AirFlow dental cleaning system, and we are looking for a hygienist who is comfortable incorporating these technologies into patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements

Dental Hygiene license in the state of Texas
Laser certified
Experience with or strong knowledge of Dentrix dental software
Comfortable using digital dental technology and electronic patient records
Experience with or willingness to learn the AirFlow dental cleaning system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong patient education and motivation skills
Detail-oriented and committed to providing thorough, high-quality care
Professional, dependable, and compassionate
Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including periodontal assessments, prophylaxis, scaling, and other hygiene procedures within your scope of practice
Perform laser treatments as appropriate and within training and certification
Utilize the AirFlow system for advanced dental cleaning and stain/biofilm removal
Take and document patient medical and dental histories and periodontal findings
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, periodontal health, home-care techniques, and preventive treatment
Clearly explain recommended treatment and help patients understand the importance of maintaining their oral health
Accurately document treatment and patient information in Dentrix
Take appropriate dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations and office protocol
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
Work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
Follow all OSHA, infection-control, and office safety protocols
